Why ProofProfile it
For as long as there has been recorded music, nobody had to prove a song existed. Generative AI ended that. In June 2026 Deezer received nearly 90,000 fully AI-generated tracks a day, more than half of its new deliveries on peak days, some under real artists’ names.
Who decides now
AI agents pick the track, write the credit and pay the licence with no person in the loop. Shown two artists with the same name, an agent cannot tell which is real without a record it trusts. When it pays the imitation, the real artist loses the money.
What ProofProfile holds
A public record of 2,006,172 artists and 9,900,355 recordings as they stood before 2022, sealed in August 2026. Anyone, a court included, can check that a record existed in that form on that date without trusting us.
It says nothing about who wrote or owns a song, so every side of a dispute can rely on it.
What it costs you
Nothing. Reading is free for artists, listeners and assistants answering ordinary questions. AI services that act on the record pay for proof they acted correctly.
Why it cannot be copied
A rival can rebuild the system by next week, and every record it creates will be dated next week. Ours were sealed before anyone could fake them.
